Methodology L.I.F.T.®
| Praise for Kaneworks |
| "We have worked with Kaneworks since last year on a number of projects that have involved some of our most important systems and intellectual property assets. In all cases, Kaneworks has been responsive, responsible and timely in delivering quality work...this year, two or our national transactional commerce systems will have benefited from the Kaneworks touch, and I expect there will be more to come." |

"One-size-fits-all" might work for rain ponchos or pajamas but it won't work for your website. You've worked hard to put your personal stamp on your business. A website that looks like everyone else's will undermine all of your hard work. There may be other business out there doing what you do but there is only one you. Using its proven 4 step L.I.F.T. aproach, Kaneworks will develop a website that reflects that uniqueness.
Listen
During the initial discovery meeting, Kaneworks will ask you questions...like
- What are your expectations for your website?
- Will you be selling product online?
- Do you currently have a brand identity or do you need to have one designed for you?
- What is your expectation regarding search engine placement?
[find out more about search engines]
- What "bells and whistles" do you want (Flash animation for example) and why do you want them?
[find out more about Flash]
- Are you looking for interactivity? you know...blogs, forums, etc
During this phase we do something very unique....LISTEN!
Identify
Identifying your requirements is critical to formulating a development plan that works for your business. With the information gathered while we were listening to you, we create a formal proposal that consists of a wireframe or page mockup that represents a suggested "look and feel" for your website along with a preliminary statement of work that includes a cost.
Focus
This is the development stage where we begin working on the site. You are in the loop throughout this process in order to ensure that we are building exactly what you want. Deadlines, milestones and launch dates are usually fluid because often they depend on you, the client, providing mission critical information. While we are being focused it's important to be flexible. During this phase we are continually testing the site against industry best usability standards. Once we (but especially you) are satisfied that the site has met all of our established criteria the site is launched.
Tell
Tell? Who do we tell? Everyone! During development we will make sure that your site is optimized for good natural search results by using relevant keywords, descriptions, titles, image alt tags and most importantly, great content! When the site is ready, Kaneworks will submit it to the important search engines. Next we patiently monitor your search results over time to determine what, if anything is needed to improve your ranking.
